What this site is
An educational calculator. It reads the measurements you enter against pattern companies' published body-measurement charts and reports which size each measurement falls into, where to blend between sizes, and what adjustments the differences imply.
What it is not
It is not a fitting service, a patternmaking service, or professional advice of any kind. Nothing here creates a professional relationship. No result should be treated as a guarantee that a garment will fit — fit depends on posture, proportion, fabric, the ease drafted into a specific pattern, and your own sewing, none of which a calculator can observe.
Cut a muslin
This is the practical version of the disclaimer and it matters more than the legal one. A test garment in cheap fabric is the only reliable way to know a pattern fits. Use this tool to decide where to start; use the muslin to decide whether you were right.
Accuracy
The arithmetic is done carefully and the method is published so you can check it. Even so, results depend entirely on the measurements you enter and on charts that brands revise without notice. No warranty is given that any result is accurate, complete or suitable for your project. Where the envelope's own chart and finished measurements disagree with this page, the envelope wins.
Brand size charts and trade marks
Body measurements are facts, and facts are not copyrightable. The charts reproduced here are each brand's own published body measurements, presented as data and linked to their source. No brand's drawings, instructions or written material is reproduced.
Brand names are used descriptively, to identify whose chart is being applied. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any pattern company, and no such relationship should be inferred.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its output — including wasted fabric, a garment that does not fit, or a pattern purchased in a size you later disagree with.
Fair use
Use the calculator as much as you like, for yourself, your students or your customers. Do not scrape the site at volume, republish it as your own, or present its output as a professional fitting you have performed.

This site carries third-party display advertising. Advertisements are not endorsements, and advertisers have no influence over the calculations, the charts, or which brand the tool reports as the closest match.
